I enjoy anything and everything to do with wound management, having completed the BVNA Wound Management course. Seeing cases progress over the days and weeks is very rewarding. Caring for all animals, large and small, is a wonderful part of the job too

During COVID I have loved assisting the vets during consultations. Our patients love to cuddle up to their vet nurse, and they relish the attention we give them! A few years ago I completed a course on biosecurity within veterinary practice. This has been particularly pertinent over recent months while we have done all we can to keep the team safe from coronavirus infection.

Outside work I’m kept busy helping on my parents’ farm. Dad has working horses and my daughters have a pony that they use to work the veg garden as well as driving in a cart and logging. I run the Girlguiding ‘Rainbows’ unit in Eardisley.

My family and I enjoy getting out and walking our working cocker spaniel Mabel. This year I am challenging myself by taking part in a Macmillan Mighty Hike which raises funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
