How did you end up working in a veterinary practice?

After working for over 10 years with Adults with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, I needed a complete change. I used to work with Kate Davies in my previous job and she herself was now working at HVG. Whilst showing my Welsh Cob at a local show, I bumped into Kate and asked her if there were any jobs going at HVG.

That was in 2007! I initially started part time at Lamb House and did a bit of everything, like looking after in-patients, developing x-rays, helping in consults, manning reception etc. Over the years I have taken on the role of full-time receptionist and Pet Club Administrator.

If I didn’t work in a vets’, my ideal job would be……….

My ideal job would be to work with Welsh Cobs. I have loved / owned the breed for as long as I can remember and I would love to work at a stud / showing yard.

I make the best chocolate brownies!
